A new view of the world

A spent my first 32 minutes underwater today and it is AMAZING!!
For all of these years I have spent sailing and working above the wAter, who knew what an underwAter paradise it would be.... Well i'm sure some of you did, but for me this is am awesome new experince overcoming fears and tapping into a new blue world!!!
My instructor is an English bloat, with a good personality and lots of good laughs.
A feel as though I am entering into a new persective of the world and some of these underwater pictures will certainly be included in my next book.
The inspiration pours thru and the smiles keep adding with blaze and heart felt glory.
Now I know there is much to learn, but right now there was a little fear but lots of joy and fun to move through it... Stay updated with pics and dialogue to continue...

Learning to dive....

Day 1
Learning to scuba dive this week. I decided that it was time to overcome one of my fears and learn to dive. I spend countless days of my life above the wAter on boats and ships and since many of my travels take me to beautiful exotic island paradises, it was time to learn how to dive.
So, I figured what a better place than here on the beautiful red sea coast in the Sinai peninsula!

My morning began with learning the basics and taking my first steps in this under water adventure land. Here is a view of the beautiful dahab coast:

So, I overcoming this fear many thanks to my new traveling friend Josh who came into my life yesterday right when I thought I would just skip the diving. He is taking the class with me, and learning these great skills. Our instructor is a young British guy, with a vast knowledge of diving operations.
His one warning is a tank left unattended in the upright position means buying him a beer that night...
I think I'll be cautious and prevent ...
More pics and adventures to continue!

From trail to tea...

A few days ago, I woke up in Petra, boarded my bus for acaba to take the ferry to egypt! Once I boarded the bus, my little voice began to speak to me and told me I needed one more day in Petra...
I was very annoyed because I only bought a two day ticket and to return to the gates of Petra would be another 35 Jd (around 50 us dollars. )
So needless to say, I queited the voice and attempted to sleep before departing the mini bus station...
In due time, the bus driver turned off the bus and all I heard was "no is the time"
So unhappily I listened, confused the bus driver, grabbed my bags and began to walk back to valentine inn!
The voice from within told me to visit Aaron's tomb, which was almost 12km away from downtown Petra, and on top of that I had to find a way to get back into Petra!
I was very annoyed and really just wanted to board the bus and shrink my voice... However I knew that was no longer my path of being, do I chose to make the quest....
Once getting to Petra, I asked the taxi driver to get to little Petra, almost 15 i'm away. I had heard it was a beautiful hike and could get me in the back door.
Concisiously, I had asked the ticket people to extend mt ticket another day for the 4 jd difference, but they informed me I needed an entire new ticket. I had paid my dues and knew that this blog alone would drive a few more people through their pearly gates....

So I ventured to little Petra and began my quest...
I filmed a great video blog along the way which I will include soon, but did not film on my iPhone, only my camera!
Once arriving atop one of the mountain peaks, I saw my final destination almost 20-30 km away... Aaron's tomb.
Now, my fascination with this tomb is naturally from my name and since Aaron, Moses brother is the most famous Aaron inhistory, it was time to meditate by his side( his remains).
My quest to big Petra was a doozy with numerous times along the way, I was certain I was lost.
Now, let me remind you that this is not like being lost in your own country, where u can ask for directions, as the two Bedouin farmers I saw along the way, only really spoke to their sheep in Arabic and certainly not the English language...
After 15 km a lot of sweat and confusion I made it to downtown Petra to tourist central...
It was time for my lnxh of pita bread, dates and bananas.
I had spent the last two days exploring Petra, so my only reason for still being in Petra was making the quest to aaron's tomb....
After finishing my quick lunch, I asked a local Jordanian teenager, who was trying to pursuade me with a donkey ride, for the directions to Aaron's tomb.
He told me it would take about 2.5 hrs to get there and since this was from a local I knew thus time would be pretty acurate as compared to the usual guidebook info which is usually an hour or two behind.
So I began my solo quest to the tomb...
The road was fairly easily marked and the longer on the trail, the closer the white box 1400 m up began to appear.
I was happily greeted by an elderly man about half way who rummaged through his dirty yard with some super delicious tea!
Jordanians love to serve tea to foreigners. In tourist areas, they expect money or something in return, while in more abstract area they just do this out of the kindness of their Jordanian heart.
Once the small road disappeared into the mtn, it was now time to follow the random stacks of rocks to hopefully find the road up.
I began to ascend the mountain even more and the white marking of the tomb got closer.
When I arrived in the small valley before the last rise, I heard a man from behind a rock wall yelling something at me in Arabic...
Now, as a small sidenote, in normal situations when an older man starts yelling and signaling to you in another language, I usualy walk the other way as they tend to want money or something from you.
However, this man seemed to be diiferent, as is ant man living alone on top of a mountain for over ten years.
The man invited me into his little hut and began to pour some tea... My mouth was dry and the taste of sweet Jordanian tea sounded like a soothing orgasm to me at this moment....
I sat in his little place and without ant real language we began to speak. He asked about my family, and I continued to share my raw appreciation for the beauty of his country and his people...
After a few cups of tea, and my new friend browsing thru the modern technology of my iPhone, muhammed gave me the key to the tomb.
Yes, I learned that only because i sat for a tea and trusted this mysterious mtn man muhammed he was going to give the key to aaron , to let me see the remains of my soul.
So I ascended the mtn, used the key and began my appreciation and meditation in this sacred place!
See the videos I will soon post....
Upon coming off the mtn, I sat for one more cup of tea, and began my descent...
At the end of the day when Muhammad gives Aaron a cup of tea to let him see his soul, peace and compassion can truly exist anywhere in the world...

Inspiration

Here is a short poetic piece to enjoy. My poetry flows through me, especially when I am traveling.

Inspiration
With the freedom all around me
And the walking that was meant to be
I now embrace softly
For the earth is now alive
To the evolution here to see
This planet is for the making
The earth embraces all to be
That this world of inspiration
Is forever crackling at me
For I now choose wisely
For this time is only for me
The loves that do surround
Know clearly that
What is best for me is to be!
To be free upon the world
To be free for all to see
That when the limits of our perceptions
Let go into queit disbelief
The years of our awakening
Increase such exponentially
For this path is not taken calmly
And this world is simply waiting in the trees
Waiting to grasp that moment
When all the world has shattered every disbelief
For the truth in the making
Is the journey meant to see,
That this world only speaks softly
To the gentleness of you and me.
For the truth speaks wisely when it is fully alive for me
It creates yielded splendor
When you simply follow a world known to see!

Here is the cover of my first book. I am puting together the poetry and the photography during this trip for my second book. To see a short video highlighting some of the pieces of my first book www.transformationofsoul.com

Israeli arms...

A common theme in Israel is seeing army soldiers with guns in their hands whenever they are traveling... Especially near the gaza strip, close to sederot, where I stayed last night!
I stayed with some of the Israeli soldiers we met while traveling throught the birthright program!

Inspirational Israel

After an amazing ten days in Israel, my heart is open and aware to the beauty of this amazing nation. My heart cracked open to the history and perseverance of this country. I spent ten days traveling around the country with 50 new friends from all over the states. Each day was a new adventure of continued growth and transformation amongst the group, as well as each individual quest for greater truth to this country.

The free trip was sponsored by Taglit Birthright and my tour company was Sachlav. If you are under 27 and interested in taking your own free ten day trip through Israel, be sure to email me and I will provide you with more details!

The end of our trip was spent living in Jerusalem and learning about the thousands of years of history and struggle within the old city walls. At the Western Wall, I let go of all of my thoughts and visions and simply fell softly to the wisdom and energy from such an incredible space. The energy is vibrant in this country and its people continue to amaze me with their compassion and care for those seeking greater discovery of their Jewish roots.

More pictures to follow....

The picture on the rail is on the top of Masada, a place of extreme history in the roots of Israel.

I continue my journey now to the Sinai Desert and to the pyramids of Egypt...

The beginning of a soul quest...

I began my summer travel trip here in the beautiful country of israel! I spent the last three days near the sea of galilee in the north of israel. I learned about the tense borders between israel, Lebanon and Syria. The flexibility and determination of the Israeli people is incredibly remarkable. There is a strong compassionate sentiment amongst all of the Israeli people and they make me feel right at home. Each day of this trip continues to open my heart and awaken me into the beauty of this country. I spent the afternoon yesterday in the mountains of tzfat. This is a small amazing community in the northern part of the country. I plan on coming back to Tzfat, to study and immerse myself more into Kabbalistic studies!
I am keeping this short as I am learning more about how to blog from my iPhone. Feel free to email or message me with any prayers you would like me to share with you while here in the holy land! I will be traveling and blogging with video and pictures for the next three months, so be sure to pass this along if you want to see and learn more about Israel, Egypt, Russia, Georgia, Turkey and probably a few others!
